Each Other is a ceramics project by Keisha Armand from Berkeley, CA. I hand-throw pieces in my little home studio, and teach Next Step Wheel classes at Hickory Clay in San Francisco.

What I love about ceramics, and what drives Each Other, is an awe for a lineage of skilled craftspeople, handing down expertise, sharing learnings, and influencing each other aesthetically and functionally through decades of human history. To me it is a uniquely relational craft - I learn from others, I make, I then I share what I learned through making. If I’m lucky, my pieces end up in the hands and homes of everyday people, sipping their morning coffee, watering their houseplant, plating a home-cooked meal at the end of a long day.

About

I’m Keisha, “Quiche” is the nickname I use when I am speaking to myself with kindness. Quiche Ceramics is an expression of values that I’ve worked hard to cultivate: growth, connection, and curiosity. I hope when you slow down, pour yourself a cup of coffee, water a plant, or sit down to a homemade meal, you experience them as small expressions of kindness to yourself. Thank you for joining me on this little adventure.
